EUCAM CONFERENCE – 25 & 26 NOVEMBER 2010

Effective Lobbying and Advocating

Alcohol marketing is a big issue in all the EU member States in the coming years. The tasks of the NGOs in this are clear: based on convincing recent research results they have a new and challenging opportunity to lobby for more restrictive regulations. The FASE project gave evidence, based on strong scientific arguments that the French and the Norwegian alcohol marketing laws are the most effective regulations in Europe.
These laws protect youngsters the best. NGOs are now challenged to lobby for more stringent and comparable regulations in their countries. The new EUCAM training is focused on supporting the advocacy strategies of non-profit organizations in the field.
